2-7 Triple Draw Poker is a very fun Poker game to play as it is similar to other 5 Card Draw games, but has a few twists that make it unique like the fact that you are looking for a low hand, straights, flushes, pairs and trips count against you and that you get 3 chances to draw. If you know the basics of how to play any kind of Poker, you should have no problem understanding the 2-7 Triple Draw rules. Like most Poker games, 2-7 Triple Draw is played with a dealer button, a small blind (half the minimum bet) and a big blind (the amount of the minimum bet). The blinds will always be the 2 players to the left of the dealer button with the closest to the dealer being the small blind and the player to the small blind's left will be the big blind. Because of all the draws, there can only be 6 players to a hand, being as a standard 52 card deck is used when playing 2-7 Triple Draw.

The dealer will start the dealing with the small blind, continuing clockwise around the table until all players have 5 hole cards each and the player with the dealer button received the last card. Once all players have looked at their hands, the action will start with the player to the left of the big blind with last action being on the big blind. Each player will have a chance to call, raise or fold. Once all players have made their decision, they will have the chance to discard some of their cards for new ones. After the first drawing round, action will start with the small blind player or the player closest to the left of the dealer button and will continue around the table. Players will again have a chance to choose whether they want to check, bet, raise or fold and the ones who stay in the hand will again need to choose which, if any of their 5 cards they want to keep. At this point the dealer will again swap out all cards from players and the third betting round will start, followed by the third and final drawing round. After the last drawing round, there will be one final betting round and once all bets have been called and the pot is right, players must showdown their cards to see which player has the lowest hand.
2-7 Triple Draw Poker is a low ball game which means that instead of looking for the best high hand, you are looking for the best low hand. One thing to keep in mind about 2-7 Triple Draw that confuses many players that are familiar with other low games such as Razz, is that Aces are not the lowest card, instead Aces are the highest card possible, so don't keep them in your hand, get rid of those as quickly as possible. Another thing to keep in mind is that unlike other low ball games, straights and flushes do count against you as well as pairs and trips. The best possible hand in 2-7 Triple Draw is 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, hence the name, 2-7 Triple Draw. Since the Ace is high and straights count against you, this is the lowest hand you can get, making it the ideal hand to aim for when playing 2-7 Triple Draw.
